Founded in March 2013, Private Road Running Club is a Seoul-based running crew born from the shared passions of three friends: Hwanghah Jeong, editor-in-chief of Hypebeast Korea, graphic designer Hyein Lee, and photographer Yeonggyun Kang. Their vision was to create a platform that not only united local runners but connected running crews worldwide, embodying a transnational social movement. Originally known as the People’s Republic of Running Club, their tight-knit group soon expanded beyond its initial circle, evolving into a welcoming community for runners from all walks of life.
