The High Park Rogue Runners started over the winter of 2015 with two runners: one who was looking to add more quality workouts to her marathon training before heading to Boston, and another, who was willing to offer training guidance and didn’t mind standing in the cold overseeing her run loops of High Park every week.
We were founded on the idea that running is for everyone. Recreational and competitive running is a privilege that is not accessible to all, and our goal is to help those in need access to the benefits of running that we all enjoy. We train for all distances, everything from the mile to trail ultras. The majority of us are training for marathon distance races.
In lieu of coaching fees, we ask our members to give back through a few initiatives throughout the year, whether it’s gear drives, donations, or volunteerism.
