Bundang Running Crew: Where Every Monday is a Festa and Everyone is a Winner
Bundang Running Crew (BRC) started in January 2019, right here in Bundang, just south of Seoul. Jaehwi had a simple idea: bring people together to enjoy running and support one another. He wanted running to be fun and help everyone feel a little healthier. Since then, BRC has grown into a key part of our local running community.
At Bundang Running Crew, we believe in openness and positivity. Our motto, "Run until we all win," says it all. Jaehwi wanted a space where anyone could join in and feel like a winner just by showing up. For us, every street in the city is a track, and our main goal is to build a running culture rooted in respect and encouragement.
Respect and support are at the heart of everything we do at BRC. We’re known for being welcoming and encouraging, and that’s helped us build a loyal group of runners here in Bundang. We focus on helping each other and celebrating every success, which keeps us all motivated.
Every Monday at 8 p.m., we host #MONDAYFESTA. It’s our weekly run and a great way to kick off the week with good energy and connect with others. Everyone is welcome, and we focus on having fun and supporting each other. This regular event is what brings us together.
Our guiding principle is simple: Come, Run, Enjoy together. We welcome anyone who wants to be part of a community where everyone is a winner. If you want to join #MONDAYFESTA and experience our energy, just reach out to us on our official social media channels.
BRC is a big part of the running scene here in Bundang, but we’re also connected to the wider running community across the Seoul Capital Area. The region is a global hub for run crews, from the creative Mutant_ to the city-wide Crewghost and the neighborhood-focused Nowon Running Crew (N1RC) in Seoul’s northeast. With so many options, every runner can find their community.
Staying true to our motto, "Every road we run is our track," we love exploring everything our home city has to offer. Our #MONDAYFESTA runs often happen in and around Bundang Central Park, one of South Korea’s largest urban parks, which gives us a beautiful and safe place for evening runs. Another favorite spot is the network of paths along the Tancheon stream, a tributary of the Han River, with miles of scenic, uninterrupted running.
As part of the greater Seoul area, we’re a regular and energetic presence at the region’s major running events. The highlight of the year is the Seoul Marathon every March, which brings elite runners from around the world to its fast course. Another big event is the JTBC Seoul Marathon in the autumn, with several distances and a route that passes some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks.
