Capital Crew Belgrade: Where the Only Competition is You
Martina and Dimitrić were not happy with the running scene in Serbia, so they decided to do something about it. In February 2018, they brought together around 50 people and started Capital Crew Belgrade. The idea was to make a group for people who wanted to run for fun and support each other, not just compete. They chose the name Capital Crew because Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, and to them, it’s also the capital of running in their region.
Martina and Dimitrić wanted Capital Crew to be different from the usual running clubs that focus on competition. Their main belief is that you should only try to beat your own best time. The group is about helping each other and making everyone feel welcome. That’s why people of all ages and backgrounds join, from solo runners to families, all looking for a positive place to get fit.
Capital Crew is all about encouraging each other. Without the stress of competing against others, people feel free to train for anything from their first 5k to a full marathon. The group is close-knit, and their annual training camp is a big part of what brings everyone together.
The highlight of Capital Crew’s year is their nine-day training camp on Kopaonik
Capital Crew Belgrade extends a warm invitation to anyone in the city looking for a supportive, non-competitive running environment. They welcome runners of all abilities who are focused on personal growth and enjoy being part of a friendly community. To connect with the crew and find out about their regular runs and events, interested individuals are encouraged to reach out to them via their official social media channels.
